Margaret E. Visscher's Obituary
Mrs. Margaret E. Visscher, age 86, passed away Friday, September 27, 2013 at the Poppen Residence. She was born May 23, 1927 in Kent County to Calvin and Isabelle (Lewis) Bensinger. On December 15, 1945, she married Harry J. Visscher in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on August 2, 2002. Margaret was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where she volunteered several years and especially enjoyed providing meals for her pastors. She enjoyed quilting, working outdoors, painting portraits, and was an avid reader. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Carol Duba of Ft. Wayne, IN, Harry (JoAnn) Visscher of Fruitport, Kevin (Kristin) Visscher of North Muskegon; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Sonny Duba; her parents; 1 brother, Herbert Bensinger; and 1 sister, Delores Singer. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Monday, September 30, 2013, with visitation 10-11 AM Monday at Bethel Baptist Church (1066 E. Byron) with Pastor Doug VanderMolen officiating.
