Margaret A. "Marg" Wessels' Obituary
Margaret A. “Marg” Wessels, 70, passed away Sunday morning, March 11, 2012 at her home, surrounded by her family after a courageously fought battle with cancer. Born June 18, 1941 to Robert and Tressa (Nipe) Stribley, she was a life resident of Muskegon. On April 14, 1962 she married Gene A. Wessels in Muskegon, and together they faithfully "cut through the neighbor's yard" to be able to attend Lakeside United Methodist Church. She had worked many years ago at Continental Motors Corp., "on the hill", but gave that up to become a full time and very busy Mom. She enjoyed quilting and making greeting cards. Her SURVIVORS include her husband, Gene; children Michael (Brenda) Wessels and Karen (Tom) Cunningham both of Fruitport Twp.; five very special grandchildren: Elizabeth, Zakary and Makenzie Wessels and T.J. and Gavin Cunningham; a brother Ron (Lynn) Stribley of Muskegon, and two sisters: Judy (Jim) Austin of Topeka, Kan., and Patt (Harold) VanVelzen of North Muskegon. FUNERAL SERVICES for Mrs. Wessels will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Lakeside United Methodist Church, 2160 Crozier Ave., with Rev. Steve Weinberger officiating and interment in Lakeside Cemetery. VISITATION will be 5-8 P.M. Wednesday at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, MI 49441, 231-759-8565. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to VNS Hospice or the Johnson Cancer Center would be appreciated
