Margaret Ann Kamp's Obituary
Margaret Ann Kamp, age 95, of Norton Shores and formerly of Nunica passed away Thursday, January 8, 2009, at a local care facility. She was born December 21, 1913, in Chicago, IL, to George and Pauline (Horkovy) Kossuth. She was married to Raymond Kamp on June 29, 1935, in Grand Haven, and he preceded her in death on June 11, 2001.
Mrs. Kamp lived most of her life in Nunica and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spring Lake. She was employed as a clerk at Braak’s Bakery in Spring Lake for 24 years. She enjoyed needlework and spending time with her family.
She is lovingly remembered by three daughters: Marlene Braun of Muskegon, Paulette (Dan) Goheen of Huntington, WV, and Barbara (David) Redman of North Muskegon; a son, Tom (Sheril) Kamp of Nunica; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; three sisters: Georgianna Shuman of Petoskey, MI, and Betty (Roy) Nichols and Pauline (John) Przyscha, both of Florida; and a brother, Edward (Elaine) Kossuth of Spring Lake. She was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Kossuth, and a sister, Josephine Kossuth.
The Funeral Mass for Margaret will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 12, 2009, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spring Lake with Rev. Leonard Sudlik as celebrant. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Spring Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Harbor Hospice of Muskegon, MI, are appreciated.
