Margaret Elizabeth Lloyd's Obituary
Margaret Elizabeth Lloyd, age 95, of Grand Haven (formerly of Spring Lake) passed away Saturday, June 24, 2006, at a local care facility. She was born March 30, 1911, to Peter and Alice (Kippy) Engle in Grand Haven; and she married Roland Lloyd November 3, 1948 in Grand Haven. He preceded her in death on August 7, 1979.
Mrs. Lloyd, a lifelong area resident, was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and school bus driver there for many years. She formerly worked for Laman’s Landing RV Park and the Glove Factory. She and her husband were owner’s of the former Grand Haven Cab Co. Margaret enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and playing Bingo.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Patricia “Pat” (Dale) Chittenden of Spring Lake; Geraldine “Geri” Davis of Jenison; Rita (Lloyd) Tencate of Florida; 16 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Clancy E. Laman; 5 sisters, Edna, Mary, Vernie, Ethel, and Katy; and 5 brothers, Orie, Charllie, John, Pete, and Ed Engle.
In accordance with her wishes there will be no service or visitation. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
