Margaret L. Close's Obituary
Mrs. Margaret L. Close, age 92, passed away Thursday evening, January 25, 2007 in Muskegon. She was born May 12, 1914 to William and Zelia (Wessel) Conroy in Rothbury and lived most of her life in the Muskegon area. She worked in human resources at Kaydon for many years and later worked for Kaydon Credit Union. She was also a former member of Lakeside Baptist Church. On September 3, 1949, Margaret married Clarence Close. He preceded her in death in 1974. SURVIVORS include 1 daughter, Dolores Boren; 1 daughter-in-law, Marcia Close; grandchildren, Sharon (Burt) Veldman, Beverly (Mark) Bosma, Michelle Zoll, Richard (Deb) Close, Barbara (Bill) David, Nancy (Chris) Damvelt; many great and great-great grandchildren; 1 sister, Donna Sowers of Greenville; 1 sister-in-law, Mary Conroy of Arizona. She was also preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and William Ogle; sons, Lloyd Brown and Richard Close; son-in-law, Robert Boren; grandson, William Ogle; sister, Gladys Shaffer; brothers, Herbert, Ted, Traverse, Edson, and Larry Conroy. A gathering to celebrate Margaret's life with family and friends will be held Saturday, May12, 2007 at the Tiffany Woods Club House, 3298 Roosevelt Road, Muskegon.
