Margaret Louise "Muggs" Stevens' Obituary
Mrs. Margaret Louise “Muggs” Stevens, age 84, passed away Sunday, May 09, 2010 in Muskegon. She was born in Muskegon on December 13, 1925 to Emil J. and Bertha (Juilleraet) Segelstrom and was a life resident of the area. Mrs. Stevens had worked as a Loan Officer for Muskegon Governmental Federal Credit Union before she retired. After retiring from the credit union, she worked for 10 years at the Super Wesco on the corner of Black Creek and Broadway Roads. Margaret enjoyed playing cards with her sisters and her friends. She was a member of the Cloverville Eagles, the Red Hat Society and an active member of T.O.P.S. She is survived by 4 children, Barbara (Kent “Butch”) Bates, Susan (Steve) Ackerman, Sherry (John Boerder) McDonald and Fredrick Stevens; 10 grandchildren, Daryl (Sallie) LaBello, Dominic LaBello, Jeff (Kori) Hopkins, Jennifer (Joe) Roeher, Michael (Tara) McDonald, Patrick (Shea) McDonald, Lindy (Shawn) Brown, Amanda Stevens, Christopher Meerman and David Stevens; several great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Emil J. (June) Segelstrom and 3 sisters, Ida McClees, Marge Senf and Judy Kosheba. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 children, David Louis Stevens and Penny Ann Stevens; 3 sisters and 3 brothers. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Rev. Lewis Glick officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service. MEMORIALS to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
