Margaret "Maggie" E. Mackenzie's Obituary
Mrs. Margaret Evelyn “Maggie” Mackenzie, age 88, passed away Monday, August 3, 2009 at a local nursing home. Mrs. Mackenzie was born February 2, 1921 to Israel and Emma (Reed) Parnell in Alexandria, IN. She was employed as an inspector at Muskegon Piston Ring for many years. On January 10, 1942 she married Franklyn K. Mackenzie and he survives her along with 2 daughters, Lynda White of Indianapolis, IN and Delores Kecskes of San Jose, CA; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, John and a grandson, Eric. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 3:30 PM Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Family Bible Church, 1256 W. Broadway with Pastor Jerry DePoy officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Friday at The Sytsema Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Avenue 231 726-5210 and 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
