Mrs. Margarita “Margo” DeHaan, age 73, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, January 3, 2025 in Muskegon, Michigan. She was born in Ocotlan, Jalisco, Mexico on January 16, 1951 to Gregorio and Elena (Temores) Sahagun. Margo came to the United States in 1966 and settled in Muskegon. She volunteered at Love INC for over 40 years and had served in many different capacities, but was officially the Pantry Coordinator. She was a long-time member of Grace Christian Reformed Church where she ran a free clothing ministry. Margo also enjoyed gardening, she taught sewing and quilting classes, and most importantly, cherished time spent with her family. She will be fondly remembered as a passionate and spicy lady that was generous, giving, and always willing to lend a helping hand. On June 2, 1973, Margo married David DeHaan in Holland, Michigan and they enjoyed 51 years of marriage. David survives her along with three children, Elaine White, David DeHaan II, and Patricia (Angel) Coira; four grandchildren, Angelina (Dylan) Cook, Alexzander White, Angelo DeHaan and Maria DeHaan; her father, Gregorio (Martha) Sahagun; and siblings, Carmen (Juan) Fierro, Rosa McFarren, Isabel (Mike) Scott, Manuel (Debbie) Sahagun, Jesus (Kelly) Sahagun, Elena Sahagun, and Sandy Sahagun.
