Margie K. Lamberger's Obituary
Mrs. Margie K. Lamberger, 92, passed away Friday afternoon, December 7, 2018 in Muskegon. She was born October 3, 1926 to Marion and Lessie (Milam) Eley in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident of Wolf Lake. Margie was selfless in her life’s work. She volunteered for several hospitals in Muskegon, and worked with local doctors to assist those with muscular dystrophy. While living on Laketon Avenue, she was an advocate for clean water for her family and many of her neighbors. She touched inmate’s lives with a column she wrote regularly for the Muskegon Correctional Facility. She studied and compiled, “The Rosicrucian Order” for 32 years and was a longtime member at Central Assembly of God. She will be remembered most as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She cherished the memories she made on Wolf Lake, camping at Alice’s Pond, listening to music, and dancing. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John Lamberger; her son: Fred Carney; and her daughter: Nancy VanDyke. Survivors include 2 sons: Richard (Lynne-deceased) Carney, Bob (Barb) Carney; 1 son-in-law: Joel VanDyke; several grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, December 12, at 11:00 AM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
