Margie VanderWal's Obituary
Margie Vanderwal age 95, of Grand Haven passed away Sunday, February 5, 2006, at her daughter’s home in Battle Creek, MI. She was born March 13, 1910 to Richard and Alle (Weavers) Wiebenga in Grand Haven; and married Howard Vanderwal on September 5, 1936 in Valparaiso, IN, he preceded her in death November 22, 1986. Margie had been a life-long resident of Grand Haven and had been employed at Erickson’s Market, Story & Clark and Kitty Kover. She was a member of First Reformed Church and enjoyed crocheting and traveling on bus trips with her friends.
Survivors include her daughter; Sharon (Stanley) Reed of Battle Creek, 3 grandchildren; Sarah LaRue of Battle Creek, Jayson LaRue of Battle Creek and Matthew LaRue of Holland and 3 great grandchildren; Chandler Reed Scott, Bailey Elizabeth Scott, Cassidy Rose LaRue and several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
