Mrs. Marguerite M. King's Obituary
Mrs. Marguerite M. King, age 91, passed away Saturday evening, February 1, 2014 in Muskegon. She was born August 25, 1922 to Charles and Blanche (Ritter) Roeland in Kalamazoo, and moved to Muskegon when she married Theron “Jack” King on August 24, 1947. Together they owned King Key and Lock Shop in Muskegon. Marguerite was also a life member of the Eastern Star Genesis Chapter 88, and belonged to the Red Hat Society. “Jack” preceded her in death on April 30, 1999. SURVIVORS include1 daughter, Jaclyn VanBrocklin of Hudsonville; 1 son, Rodney Williams of Sacramento, CA; 3 grandchildren, James J. (Jennifer) VanBrocklin, Karen (Todd) Hoogland, Tracie (Kurt) Wolffis; 5 great-grandchildren, Jayden, Larissa, and Juliana Hoogland, Nicholas and Kyle Wolffis. Marguerite was also preceded in death by 1 son, Thomas Williams; son-in-law, Dale VanBrocklin; great-grandson, Landen Hoogland; brother, Robert Roeland, and sister, Barbara Dulaney. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Mrs. King will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 8, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, 49444, (231) 798-1100, with Pastor John H. Brown officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
