Maria Grace Conrad's Obituary
Maria Grace Conrad, age 6, passed away very unexpectedly Monday morning, August 1, in Grand Rapids. Maria was born November 13, 2009 to Jason and Dr. Valerie (Soledad) Conrad in Detroit, and the family moved to the Muskegon area in 2011. Maria was a student at Lincoln Park Elementary School and a member of St. Francis de Sales Parish. Maria enjoyed school, playing soccer, and checking off days on her own wall calendar. She loved to draw and give pictures to her parents, and was excited and proud that she had learned to read in kindergarten. Her favorite books to read were the Fancy Nancy series, and also hearing her father read from one of the many The Wizard of Oz books or The Wind in the Willows. Her goals in life were to travel to all the continents and become a doctor like her mother. Her radiant, ever present smile will be sorely missed. Maria is survived by her mom and dad; her sisters and brother, Cecilia, Theodore (Theo), and Catherine Conrad; grandparents, Tony and Lily Soledad, Judy Conrad; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Larry Conrad. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, August 6, at 10:00 AM at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fr. Anthony Pelak presiding. Visitation at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd, (231) 759-8565 will be from 5-8 PM Friday evening. You may visit the family’s online guestbook at www.sytsemafh.com. Contributions in memory of Maria Conrad may be made to Hackley Community Care Center: for children’s programs, 255 Seminole Rd. Suite 201, Muskegon, MI 49444
