Mrs. Marian T. Johnson's Obituary
Mrs. Marian T. Johnson, age 90, of Whitehall, went to be with her Lord on April 3, 2015. She was born in Fremont, MI on October 8, 1924 to William and Marie (Westra) VanAndel and married Calvin I. Johnson on August 23, 1946. She was a member of Fruitland Covenant Church where she was active with volunteering for the elderly. She enjoyed reading, decorating, gardening, her cats, and most importantly, her large family. Marian is survived by her daughters, Sheryl Woodring of North Muskegon, Linda S. Johnson of Spring Lake, Karla (Mark) Lange, DDS of Norton Shores and Christi (Dave) Fortenbacher of Norton Shores; one son, Randy (Mary) Johnson of Whitehall; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and one sister, Mildred Hartsema of Muskegon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin; one son, Marc C. Johnson; two sisters, Lois Hunt and Bea Boes and one brother, Wes VanAndel. VISITATION will be from 5-8 PM Monday, April 13, 2015 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100.
