Marian L. Myers' Obituary
Mrs. Marian Myers, age 97, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2013 at her home. She was born in Muskegon on July 10, 1916 to Walter and Carolyn (Brown) Streeting. She married Karl Myers in 1946 and he preceded her in death in 1977.
Marian worked at Kresge’s and then Consumers Power prior to starting her family. Marian attended several local churches during her life and in her senior years was blessed by Dr. Charles Stanley of In Touch Ministries. She is now with her Lord and Savior.
Marian enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes. Spending winters in Florida in the recent years where she enjoyed many new places and new friendships. Always enjoying time spent with family and friends including the many family collies who were wonderful companions to her; over the years taking them for long walks when she was able.
She is survived by her daughter, Carole (Gary) Stajer of North Muskegon; granddaughter, Brigitte (Scott) Blakely, great-grandchildren Tanya, Michael, Owen and Andrew Blakely; and great-great grandson, Mason Blakely; along with nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ray and Robert Streeting.
Private Family Services will be held at The Lee Chapel ofSytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey Street, Norton Shores, Michigan 49444 (231-798-1100). Interment will follow in Laketon Township Cemetery.
