Marian Jean Neumann's Obituary
Marian J. Neumann, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. She was born on September 19, 1932 to Edward and Margaret (Frodl) May in Muskegon Heights. Marian was a bookkeeper for UAW Local 403 and Local 637. She cherished her beloved pets and treated them like family. She was a proud cancer survivor of over 37 years. On September 12, 1953, she married the love of her life, William E. Neumann, Sr., and they spent 64 loving years together until his passing in September 2017. Marian is survived by her children, William E. (Lori) Neumann, Jr. and Mary Ann (Scott) Waterhouse; grandchildren, Zachary Neumann (Joslin Sullivan) and Elizabeth Waterhouse; great grandchildren, Elijah, Dean and Finn; sister, Joan Sparrow; special friends, the Nelson family and Fran Thorstenson; and her faithful companion, Peanut. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Robert May; and beloved grandson, William “Billy” O. Neumann. A FUNERAL SERVICE for Marian will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at 11:00 AM The Lee Chapel of The Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444 with visitation taking place one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
