Mrs. Marian C. VanderKooi, age 76, died Saturday morning, August 29, 2015 at the Poppen Residence. She was born June 5, 1939 in Fremont, MI to Kenneth L. (Sr.) and Beulah (Barnhard) Osborn; and has resided in the Muskegon area most of her life. SURVIVORS include 2 daughters, Kimberly (Bruce) Johnson and Susan Bennett; 4 grandchildren, Gregory Murray, Misty Sampsell, Brandy Fisher and Ashley Bennett; 9 great-grandchildren, Tanner, Mercedes, Kaden, Sarena, Brayden, Ja’miah, Marion , Bianca and Foster (Baby Macho); 1 brother, Orville; 3 sisters, Margie, Carolyn and Judy; and by her special friend, George Rull. Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold E. VanderKooi, in 2006; twin-grandchildren, Anthony David and Skyann Marie; and by her brother, Kenneth, Jr. It was Marian’s desire that there would be no visitation or services.
