Dear Dave and Family,

I was so surprised to see the article of Marianne's death in the TRIBUNE! You all have my deepest sympathy.

What a surprise! Marianne and I got to know each other at the Y in exercise classes. We were among the oldest and enjoyed that. :) She knew I was a dancer so we talked about taking a dance class together. I was going to research and let her know what I decided to do. We communicated by email when we didn't see each other in class. I missed seeing her; now I know why. :( (I was traveling alot in Sept/Oct/early Nov.)

She was always smiling and having a good time in class. I miss her smile. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to know her. :) Thank you for sharing her with us.

Again, you have my deepest sympathy on your loss of Marianne.

Dave,

Jill joins me in expressing our thoughts to you on Marianne's passing.
I have a lot of real great memories of her. I remember the first time I met her. She was filling in for Chuck Kingsley's secretary and Chuck gave her something to do which she had no idea how to do. I happened to be in the office and I think I showed her how to do whatever it was. She made excellent progress from that point. She became a really good administrative assistant. (she never liked the word "secretary") We also shared a lot of laughs at the expense of the Kingsleys over the years. Marianne was truly a warm and loving person and I know that her loss will be felt by you and the rest of the family.
Although we lost track of both of you when you relocated to the west coast of Michigan, I did think about you both. Especially each time I had my prescriptions filled at PGPA. And before you moved, I would see her at the MAC.
I know that this took you by surprise and that you had hoped to spend many more years together on the shores of Lake Michigan. I hope that time and good memories will carry you through.

I too worked with MAB at the Plan. She's the kind of person one never forgets! As soon as she hit me with one of her zingers, I knew she had a lot of gusto, and the best sense of humor. She spoke so much with her eyes and her facial expressions! While I lost touch, I will never forget the way she carried herself! They broke the mold with her! MAB: It's been 30 years since we worked at HCH and became friends despite my being fresh out of favors...We were "so lucky" that Dave and Mike also became great friends and we were able to spend vacations and weekends together doing our best to solve the world's problems.
My friends became your friends as they were taken with your wit and charm and inspired with your aging without growing old--you've enriched all of our lives. And so caring-- concerned about John and Charley and "the girls", my parents, other pals.
I'm forever grateful for your faithful friendship. I have so many fond memories--the lime-green smock, (San) Moritz and tripping through Central Park, "heavy" oysters in New Orleans, Gulf Shores road trips, the all-girl getaway to Copper Harbor, the fun times in Grand Haven,...... Thanks, MABby.

Dave, Judy, Tom and Grandchildrenl I also was one of the lucky ones who worked with MAB at the UAW Legal Servies Plan. MAB and I also enjoyed time together outside the office, golf outings, happy hour and halloween parties and I will always remember and cherish those times with her. Your wife, your mother, your grandmother was a wonderful women and she will be dearly missed. Dave, Judy, Tom and grandchildren. I worked with MAB at the UAW-GM Legal Services and I must say the thing I remember the most about her was her great sense of humor. She made me feel so comfortable as I started my new job at the Plan. Her advice, hilarious as it was, has kept me going for years!
