Maria T. Howard's Obituary
Mrs. Maria T. Howard, age 66, passed away Friday afternoon, June 5, 2009 at her home. She was born March 6, 1943 to Fred C. and Marie R. (Heimbegner) Gardner in Stuart, Nebraska, and moved to the Muskegon area in 1965. Maria worked as an LPN at Mercy Hospital for 35 years, belonged to the Viking Lodge, and was active in the Hackley Hospital Cancer Support Group. She was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church. On January 21, 1966 she married Marvin E. Howard, and he survives her along with 2 daughters, Mikki (Todd Schuitema) Ketchum of Spring Lake, Michaun (Michael) Sweet of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Michael, Brett, Christopher, Tanner, Michael, Jesse, and Paige; her step-father, Jim Downing of Fremont, NE; 2 sisters, Janie McDaniel, Mary Lynn (George) Mulder, both of NE; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 1 sister, Ramona Bubnis. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday at Lakeside United Methodist Church, with Pastor David Selleck officiating. There will be no visitation.
