Mrs. Marie A. Austin's Obituary
Mrs. Marie A. Austin, age 89, passed away early Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Born August 2, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA to Corradino and Doris (Pilling) Bentivoglio, she was a Muskegon resident since 1961. Mrs. Austin had been a paraprofessional with Muskegon Public Schools before retiring in 1980, and had been very involved with Muskegon Civic Theatre and other theatre groups for many years. She was the widow of James K. Austin, who died June 9, 2007. Her SURVIVORS include her children: Shelley L. (Kevin) Wierda (formerly Kolberg), Wendy L. (Mark Derby) Austin, and Samuel J. (Patti) Austin; six grandchildren: Matthew, Megan and Ryan (Haily) Kolberg, Nicole Austin, James Dolen, and Logen Andrew Austin; and a sister, Evelyne Thomas. She was predeceased by her husband and a sister, Dorothy Reiff. By way of honoring Mrs. Austin’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
