Marie L. Carlton's Obituary
Marie L. Carlton, age 73, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2019, surrounded by family and friends. She was born December 29, 1945 in Muskegon, MI to Frank and Stephanie “Stella” (Melguish) Holub and was a lifelong resident of the area. Marie was a devoted home health aide at Shore Haven Nursing Home in Grand Haven, MI for 30 years. At the core of her heart, she was a caregiver and exemplified a daily attitude of serving and giving. Her kindness and generosity touched multiple lives and she will be deeply missed by so many. Survivors: husband of 31 years, John Noah Carton; children, Brian Allen (Amy) Barber of Howell, MI, Brent Earl (Lyssa) Cooper of Norton Shores, MI, Phillip Shawn (Debra) Carlton of Muskegon, MI and Sherry Candace (Larry) Redder of Grand Haven, MI; grandchildren, Colten, Melissa, Amber (Mike), Heather, Rachel, Emily, Grace, Katie, Evan and Logan; sisters, Sr. Stephanie Holub of Farmington Hills, MI and Bernice Wilson of Titusville, FL; brother, Joseph Holub of CA; and dear and devoted friend, Ruth Hill Robertson and her family. She was preceded in death by sons, James and Daniel Barber; and several brothers and sisters. Private family services will be held for Marie. Memorials can be made in Marie’s name to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
