Marie F. DeMarco's Obituary
Marie Frances DeMarco, age 89, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, April 2, 2015. She was born August 14, 1925 in Staten Island, NY to George and Marie (Donnelly) Fruehan. Marie was a 1942 graduate of Curtis High School in New York. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and owned and operated Marie’s Bookmark in Muskegon for several years. Marie was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, a social and service organization for over 50 years. She volunteered for Friends of Art and the West Shore Symphony, was a world traveler and avid reader, and also loved Theatre. Most important to her were her faith, family, and friends. SURVIVORS include 3 children: Raymond Long of Kingwood, TX, Samuel (Shelly) DeMarco III of Spring Lake, John (Lisa) DeMarco of Brighton, MI; 11 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Morris. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will take place 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church – Marian Chapel with the Rev. Fr. Julian Reginato presiding.
