Marie M. Lewis' Obituary
Mrs. Marie M. Lewis, age 80, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening, February 4, 2015 at Mercy Hospital. She was born January 4, 1935 in Omena, Leelanau Co., MI to Martin and Lena (Houdek) Kolarik; and has resided in the Muskegon area since 1946. Marie was retired from Fruitport Schools where she had been employed over 28 years. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and its Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary #13035. She enjoyed golfing and camping but especially spending time with her grandchildren. On April 28, 1951 she married James P. Lewis and he survives her along with five children, Edward Lewis of Howard City, Marcia (Norm) Dodge of Nunica, Linda (David) Reynolds of Muskegon, Lori Lewis of Fayetteville, GA and Debra (Jeff) Murak of Fruitport; 8 grandchildren, Lori (Al) Watson, Janel (Isaac) Brown, Denis (Dana) Clark, Krystal (Drew) Erickson, Kimberly Barney, Randi Lynn Barney, Tyler Murak and Dylan Murak; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Charles Kolarik of Suttons Bay and 1 sister, Helena (Frederick) Schaub of Muskegon. A MEMORIAL MASS will be held 11:00 AM Monday, February 9, 2015 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 3252 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442. VISITATION will be 6-8PM Sunday, February 8th, at the Sytsema Chapel, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442, where THE ROSARY will be prayed at 7:00 PM.
