Mrs. Marilles Rae Ross' Obituary
Mrs. Marilles Rae Ross, age 76, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016. Marilles was born October 3, 1939 to Gordon and Marguerite (Read) Wells in Copemish, MI. On January 25, 1958 she married W. Scottie Ross in Muskegon. Marilles was employed as assistant to the mill manager at S.D. Warren Paper Mill for 25 years retiring in 1993. She collected porcelier china, loved to cross-stitch and enjoyed her time with family at the cabin on the Little Manistee River. She also loved fishing on Lake Michigan, and getting together with the Hile School and the S.D. Warren Girls, and the old Girl Scout gang. Marilles is SURVIVED by her husband of 58 years, Scottie; her children, Kim (Jeff Tyler) Clawson of Roosevelt Park, Scott (Darlene) Ross of Cypress, TX, and Chris (JoAnn) Ross of Wolf Lake; grandchildren, Blaine, Chase, Rachel, Chris, Cori, and Chelsea; great-grandchildren, Tessa, Brynleigh, Sawyer, Annabelle and Mason; her brother, Gordon Wells of Twin Lake; sister, Janis Castrorao of Miami, FL and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231 798-1100 with Pastor Mary Ivanov officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service (10-11am). Burial will be in Norton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
