Mrs. Marilyn J. Breuker's Obituary
Mrs. Marilyn J. Breuker, age 83, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Cameo House in Coopersville. She was born January 19, 1935 to Harry and Trena (Schutter) Weesies in Montague, and lived most of her life in the Muskegon area. Marilyn was a housekeeper for several families in the Muskegon area for many years, had been a member of the former First Christian Reformed Church where she sang in the choir, was the custodian and GEMS counselor, and volunteered at Western Michigan Christian High School. She is currently a member of Fruitport Christian Reformed Church. She married Roger E. Breuker on March 27, 1953, and he preceded her in death on November 23, 2013. Survivors include 4 daughters: Betty (Dale) Darling of Three Rivers, and their children: Matthew and Kristin, Luke and Kim, Nathan and friend Amy; Connie (Mark) Johnston of Muskegon, and their children: Arland and Faith, and Andy; Kathy (Brian) Buter of Scottville, and their children: Karl and Kellia, Eric and Fiancee Jenni, and Caryn Buter; Trena (Alan) Buter of Grand Haven, and their children: Cory and Kristen, Zack and Samantha; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Donna Veeneman, Mavis Lownds, Raymond (Myra) Weesies, Wendall (Mary) Weesies, Garry (Mary) Weesies; brother-in-law: John (Christine) Breuker. Marilyn was also preceded in death by a son: Harvey Wayne Breuker; grandson: Chet Alan Johnston; great-granddaughter: Brianna Dawn Darling; and brother: Wally Weesies. The family would like to thank Grace Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to Marilyn. The funeral service will be Monday, December 10, at 11:00 AM at the Fruitport Christian Reformed Church, 3520 Pontaluna Rd. Visitation at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., (231) 726-5210 will be from 2-5 Sunday, December 9, and 1 hour prior to the service at church. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Breuker may be made to Muskegon Christian School, Western Michigan Christian High School, or Covenant Christian School in Ludington.
