Marilyn M. Christian-Forsythe's Obituary
Mrs. Marilyn M. (Christian) Forsythe, age 73, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at home with her family. She was born August 24, 1938 in Lansing, MI to Durward and Helen (Hall) Strong, and lived in Muskegon since 1978. Marilyn worked as manager of Arlington Estates for 20 years, from 1978-1998. She belonged to the Muskegon Eastside Lions, and enjoyed casinos, playing bingo, and traveling. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Tom Nowakowski of Muskegon, Terri (Hugh) Goldsmith of Ann Arbor, MI, and Lois (Steve) Smith also of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren, Jessica, Tomi Jo, Rebecca, Wendie, and Jordan; 2 great grandchildren, Maelee, Isabell, and 2 on the way; and 1 brother, Charles (Diane) Strong of Johns Creek, GA. Marilyn was preceded in death by 2 husbands, Gordon Christian in 2000 and Robert Forsythe in 2008. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11am Monday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Rev. Tom Parks officiating. VISITATION with her family will be 4-7pm Sunday (today). A private family burial will take place in Egelston Twp. Cemetery.
