Marilyn M. Evans' Obituary
Marilyn M. Evans, age 84, of Grand Haven went to be with her Lord and Saviour Thursday, October 9, 2014 with her family at her side. She was born April 7, 1930 in Sheboygan Falls, WI to Fred and Florence (Walters) Lawrence.
She was a devout member of St. Patrick-St. Anthony Catholic Church and retired from Ottawa County after many years of service. She was also a member of Charles A. Conklin American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, Senior Center, Eagles #925, and the YMCA. She had a passion for people, shopping and traveling, but most of all her family. Marilyn had many of friends due to her kind heart and generous nature.
She is survived by three sons: Rick (Dana) Evans of Byron Center, Steve (Tanya) Evans of Nuncia and Larry (Bonnie) Evans of Sanibel, FL; seven grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Kenny (Shirley) Lawrence; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Florence; son, David Evans in 1979; brother, Donald Lawrence. A special thank you to her many care givers over the years and especially to Judy Brown and Shelly Mershon.
A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 AM Monday, October 13, 2014 at St. Patrick-St. Anthony Catholic Church with Rev. Father Philip Shangraw officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions in memory of Marilyn may be given to Women in Transition or St. Patrick-St. Anthony Catholic Church.
