Marilyn Louise Nygren's Obituary
Mrs. Marilyn Louise (Huck) Nygren, age 86, of Muskegon, Michigan, formerly of Waupun, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025. She was born on January 9, 1939 to Christopher and Louise (Schlaak) Huck. Marilyn married David Nygren on June 20, 1959 and they enjoyed 56 happy years of marriage. Marilyn was a meticulous housekeeper, wonderful cook, and enjoyed hosting many great parties. Her favorite parties were at their home overlooking Muskegon Lake and on their boat. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, and collecting camels. Marilyn was a talented seamstress and used those talents to create and sell adorable dolls and angels at her business, MaryThreads. She was a long-time member of the Red Hatters and enjoyed so many outings and friendships with them. She is survived by her son, Kirk (Jennifer) Nygren; two beautiful red-headed granddaughters, Madalyn (Matt) Tessner and Kelsey Nygren; her Red Hatter group and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, David, parents, and three siblings. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 27, 2025 at First Lutheran Church, 1206 Whitehall Road, Muskegon, MI 49445 with visitation one hour prior to her service.
