Marilyn M. Schoulten's Obituary
Marilyn M. Schoulten, age 91, passed away on December 19, 2016. She was born on December 3, 1925 to Frank and Caroline (Olsen) Johnson in Muskegon. She was a lifelong member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and took part in the quilting group and MESC. Marilyn worked 40 years as a claims adjustor for the “Michigan Employment Security Commission”. She also enjoyed her family time, traveling, wordsearch puzzles, playing canasta, attending “club” with longtime friends and also meeting with her past co-workers from MESC. On May 20, 1950 she married James M. “Max” Schoulten and he preceded her in death in 1993. SURVIVORS include 2 daughters, Sandy (Charles) Boomer and Patricia (Jeff) Bradac; grandchildren, Andrea (Mitchell Frees) Boomer, Leslie (Joseph, deceased) Gabriel, Erin (Tom) Trach and Rebecca (Dave) Falk and Melissa Bradac; great-grandchildren, Kaleab, Bayly, Alexandrea, Corbin, Clay, Avery, Peyton, Morgen, Max, Raeya, Violet and special niece and nephew, Carolyn and Tom Schneider. She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lorraine. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 22, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Pastor Jane Mountain officiating. VISITATION with the family will be an hour prior to the service. MEMORIAL can be directed to Alzheimer’s Association. BURIAL will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
