Marilyn Jeanne Werner Jesse's Obituary
Marilyn Jeanne Werner Jesse, age 92, passed away Tuesday morning, November 5, 2024. She was born November 24, 1931 in Muskegon to Ernest and Wilhelmina “Minnie” (Thedorff) Werner, Sr. Marilyn graduated from Muskegon High School and was a proud Alumni of both Western Michigan University and Hope College.
On July 17, 1970, she married Leo M. Jesse in Muskegon at Trinity Lutheran Church and he preceded her in death. Marilyn taught school for Muskegon Public Schools for several years and was also a secretary for Jesse & Noordhoff Plumbing. She was a member of MARSP (Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel) and Trinity Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir and belonged to the Circle Guild.
SURVIVORS include her sister, Peggy Hradsky of Muskegon; niece, Wenda Hanna, nephew, Daniel (Cheryl Mosher) Werner, and niece, Gretchen (Rob) Beauleaux; several other close family and friends; step-children: Marleen (Jerry) Ramsvig of Whitehall and their son, Ryan, Steve (Kim) Jesse of Roosevelt Park and their children, Scott and Sara. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Ernest (Dorothy) Werner, Jr. and Johnny Werner; and brother-in-law, Mart Hradsky.
A celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held 2:00 PM Friday, November 8, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service. She will be laid to rest in the Resurrection Garden at the church. Memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Harbor Hospice Foundation will be appreciated.
