Marilyn Joyce Wernstrom's Obituary
Marilyn Joyce Wernstrom, 79, passed away Wednesday evening, September 21, 2016 in Muskegon. She was born July 23, 1937 to Walfred and Beatrice (Baker) Wernstrom in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident. Marilyn worked for the City of Muskegon for several years before retiring, and was a member of Allen Avenue Christian Reformed Church. She enjoyed history, her cats, but especially family outings and activities. Marilyn is survived by 2 brothers, Eugene (Ruth) Wernstrom of Muskegon, Donald (Pamela) Wernstrom of Montague; 5 nephews; Michael (Sandy) Wernstrom, Thomas (Kim) Wernstrom, Donald (Lisa) Wernstrom II, Brian (Tiffany) Wernstrom, and Steven Wernstrom. She was preceded in death by her special friend from Florida, Victor Baccari. The Funeral Service for Marilyn will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 27, at the Allen Avenue Christian Reformed Church, 695 Allen Ave., with Pastor Benjamin Oliveira officiating. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., (231) 726-5210 will be from 6-8 PM Monday.
