Marilyn J. McCormick's Obituary
Mrs. Marilyn J. McCormick, age 68, passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 11, 2005 at a local hospital. She was born September 18, 1937 in Muskegon to Harold and Grace (Abbott) Zerlaut. Marilyn grew up in Fremont and graduated from Fremont High School in 1956. She then moved back to Muskegon, and worked as a Dental Assistant for 5 years in Dr. Robert Christie’s office. Mrs. McCormick was a member of Crestwood United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women’s Group, and a member of the Missions Committee. She was also an extensive world traveler. On September 1, 1962, she married James McCormick in Muskegon, and he survives her along with 4 children, Craig (Trudie) McCormick of Northern England, Lisa (Keith) McFall of Muskegon, Scott McCormick of Chicago, IL, Kimberly (David) Thomas of Sacramento, CA; 4 grandchildren, Kristine, Zachary, Lauren, Alex; 2 brothers, Morris (Mary) Zerlaut of Mesa, AZ, Robert (Jennifer) Zerlaut of Central, SC; 2 sisters, Arlene (William) Worthing of Twin Lake, Susan (Richard) King of Rose City, MI; aunt, Cybal Packingham; 2 uncles, Larry and Orin Lee Abbott; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a special cousin, Dorothy Shaffer. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Allen Zerlaut and his wife Margie. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Friday at Crestwood United Methodist Church with Pastor Dianne Morrison officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery. VISITATION will be from 6-8 PM this evening at
