Marilyn Louise (Lewis) Mallardi's Obituary
Mrs. Marilyn Louise (Lewis) Mallardi, age 76, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2009 at her home in Muskegon. She was born January 1, 1933 in New York City, NY to George and Eleanor (Connelly) Lewis and lived in Michigan City, IN., Muskegon, MI., Stamford, CT., and New York City before coming back live with her daughter in Muskegon recently. On August 28, 1954, Marilyn married Joseph L. Mallardi in New York City and he preceded her in death in 1997. Marilyn was very active in community theatre in the cities she resided and she loved to travel. She attended St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Stamford, CT and also attended Prince of Peace Catholic Church when she was in Muskegon. SURVIVORS include her 3 children, Michael B. (Christine) Mallardi of Norwalk, CT, Patti E. (Dick) Winsemius and Lisa M. (Dave) Johnson of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren, Matt Anderson, Mike (Lindsay) Anderson, Maria Peterson, Ellie Mallardi, Anna Mallardi, Becky Reddam, Gaeya Reddam, Mary Lynn Reddam; 7 step-grandchildren, Dave (Tashina) Winsemius, Steve (Lindsey) Winsemius, Andrew Winsemius, MaryAnn Winsemius, Brittani Johnson, Kalie Johnson; and 2 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, George Lewis of Long Island, NY; 1 sister, Louise (John) Wahl of Sunnyvale, CA. Along with her husband, Joseph, she was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister, Patricia Hillman. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at St. James Catholic Church in Montague with Rev. Fr. Donn Tufts as celebrant. INTERMENT will take place in Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery in Stamford, CT. VISITATION with Marilyn’s family will be 5-8 PM Tuesday at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Avenue
