Marion DeBruyn's Obituary
Mrs. Marion DeBruyn, age 86, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ, Thursday, March 10, 2005 in Norton Shores. She was born in Grand Rapids on November 23, 1918 to Nicholas & Dena (Timmer) Hertel. Mrs. DeBruyn was a member of Calvary Church, and longtime resident of Maranatha Bible and Missionary Conference. She was a prayer warrior, and an accomplished seamstress. On January 2, 1942 she married Arnold DeBruyn, who preceded her in death on March 7, 2001. SURVIVORS include her children, Pastor Larry (& Margie) DeBruyn of Indianapolis, Jim (& Judy) DeBruyn of Rockford, John (& Diane) DeBruyn of Norton Shores, Lauralee (& Daryl) Gates of Fruitport; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Leona Hertel and Angeline Kniff both of Grand Rapids. A great-grandson, Jacob; and her sister, Jeanette White also preceded her in death. SERVICES will be 10:30AM Monday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd.231-759-8565 with Pastor Lawrence A. DeBruyn officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 2-6 PM Sunday. Burial will take place in Norton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to Maranatha Bible and Missionary Conference, and Hospice of Muskegon-Oceana are invited.
