Marion R. Grenell's Obituary
Marion R. Grenell, age 95, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018 in Whitehall, Michigan. She was born on June 27, 1922 in Muskegon to James and Mildred (Kitchen) Michels, and resided all of her life in West Michigan. Marion worked as a book keeper and accountant for various businesses, before retiring in 1995. She was a member of Whitehall United Methodist Church where she was a longtime faithful servant of the church. Marion was involved in many different organizations throughout the years. SURVIVORS include Rick (Sandra) Paggeot of Whitehall, Jack (Judy) Paggeot of Muskegon, Susan (Gary) Babcock of Blue Lake, Nancy Paggeot of Whitehall, Connie (Mary) Grenell of Manistee, Monna Sakura of New Mexico, Butch (Cathy) Grenell of Muskegon, Deb Grenell of Twin Lake and Judi Grenell of Grand Rapids; 33 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; 79 (+1 for coming in May) great-great grandchildren; and 1 great-great-great grandchild. Marion was preceded in death by her first husband, Laurence Paggeot; second husband, Nathan Grenell; sons, Ron Paggeot, Darryl Grenell, Denny Grenell; daughter, Belva Stein; four great-grandchildren; and brother, Edward Michaels. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 11AM Friday, March 23, 2018 at Whitehall United Methodist Church (117 S. Division St.) with Pastor Mike Riegler officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM Thursday at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave, (231) 726-5210. Burial will take place in Oakhurst Cemetery.
