Marjorie J. "Peggy" Sternburgh's Obituary
Marjorie J. “Peggy” Sternburgh, age 99, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017. She was born on December 26, 1917 to Cecil and Mabel (Lutz) Daniels in Muskegon. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Peggy graduated from Muskegon Heights High School in 1936. She took great pride in maintaining her beautiful yard and flowers and did so until she was age 95. Peggy enjoyed life and people, had many blessings and much laughter. On July 28, 1939, she married Stanley Sternburgh and he proceeded her in death in 1995. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Louise (Dan) Hvizdos, Karen (Skip) Hughes, Jack (Mary) Sternburgh and Dennis Sternburgh; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Max) and Owen (Okie). She was also preceded in death by parents, brothers, John, Clifford (Pip), Howard (Bud); grandson, Kevin; beloved cousin, Kenneth Lutz and close friend, Bill Anderson. FUNERAL SERVICE for Peggy will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Pastor Mark Gilson officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to St. Mark Lutheran Church. Entombment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery.
