Marjorie E. (Wahr) VanDuinen's Obituary
Mrs. Marjorie Wahr Van Duinen, age 56, went to be with her Lord Monday, July 19, 2004 in Muskegon. She was born on March 12, 1948 to Melvin and Vivian (Stewart) Wahr, and had resided in the Muskegon area all of her life. She was a member of Fifth Reformed Church, and was a teacher at Gustafson Early Childhood Center. She taught for 33 years in the Orchard View School District. Marjorie will be remembered for touching the lives of many children. On June 20, 1975, she married Gordon Van Duinen, and he survives her along with 2 children, Amanda (Joe) Kinnucan of Norton Shores and Nathan Van Duinen of Muskegon; 2 grandchildren, Noah and Emma; her parents, Melvin and Vivian; 1 brother, Rev. Gary (Gloria) Wahr of Muskegon; 1 sister, Rhonda (Randy) Crawford of Muskegon; and many nieces and nephews. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Friday at The Walburn Chapel,with Rev. Norman Swier officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday. Private burial for the immediate family will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to Gustafson Early Childhood Nature Center.
