Mark L. Ayers' Obituary
Mark L. Ayers, age 66, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 10, 2025, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. He was born on September 25, 1958, in Muskegon, Michigan, to Lyle and Angeline (Trojnar) Ayers, and remained a lifelong resident of the community he loved. Mark graduated from Mona Shores High School with the Class of 1976. Mark worked dedicated many years working in various positions at Holland Neway before he retired. He was a man of strong faith, Mark was a devout Catholic who lived his life as a faithful servant of the Lord. Mark was an avid outdoorsman, finding joy and peace in nature, especially during his time fishing or by Wolf Lake. He also had a deep appreciation for music, which brought him much comfort and happiness. Standing tall at 6'8", he was affectionately known as “High Tower” by many. But beyond his towering height, Mark will be most fondly remembered for his big heart, especially his deep love for his family. He was a proud and devoted uncle, taking genuine interest in the lives of his nieces and nephews, which always brought a smile to his face. Mark was a beloved brother, a cherished uncle, and a loyal friend whose memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his siblings, Mike Ayers, Diane (Pat) Addington and Susan (Dan) Suchecki; many nieces and nephews; numerous great nephews and nieces; and many dear friends. Mark was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial contributions in his honor can be directed to the American Cancer Society.
