Mark A. Blevins' Obituary
Mark Alan Blevins, age 70, passed away unexpectedly Friday, November 26, 2021 in Muskegon. Mark was born to Robert H. and Margaret (Smith) Blevins on April 23, 1951. He was employed at St. Mary’s Cemetery for 34 years, the last 25 years as manager until his retirement in 2006. Mark married Ruth Banninga on May 25, 1973 celebrating 48 years. Mark enjoyed hunting with his dad and good friends at deer camp up north. Mark loved watching football and hockey. Mark is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ruth; best friend, Jake a German short haired pointer; brothers-in-law, Lance (Nancy) Banninga of Schererville, IN, Brian (Marcia) Banninga of Twin Lake; nephew, Steve Banninga of Chicago and niece, Brie (Craig) Alderink of North Muskegon; great nephews, Cade and Quinn Alderink; great niece, Sophie Banninga of Frankfort, IL; and many close cousins. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 2 PM Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231) 798-1100. VISITATION with the family will be from 12:30 – 2:00 PM Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions in Mark’s name to Pound Buddies Animal Shelter will be appreciated.
