Mark Lyle Dahl's Obituary
Mark Lyle Dahl, age 42, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 23,2022. He was born March 12,1980 in Muskegon, Michigan to Don E. and Sheryl L. (Wilks) Dahl. Mark was a lifelong resident of the area. Mark worked in the construction industry most of his career life, with his final position as a foreman for Anlaan Corporation.
Mark loved being a dad-not only did Mark love his own children, but all children he came in contact with he treated as his own. He loved spending time with friends and family. Mark was excited for the future he was building with his fiancé, Kelly. His entire face would beam with excitement when communicating about his loved ones.
Mark was active with the Alano Club and was proud of his 5 years of sobriety having been a member of AA. He attended Temple United Methodist Church in his earlier years.
He loved taking motorcycle rides, not just for the thrill of ride, but the long-lasting friendships, sense of community, and bonds formed from riding. Mark also loved playing soccer, going on vacations, building things, fishing, skiing/ snowboarding and going to the casino- always trying his best to be the craps master. He liked playing scrabble, cribbage, and Cornhole- always making sure he heckled his opponent to distract them for the win.
Mark’s huge smile and laugh were contagious to all that came in contact with him, his personality was larger than life. He was a genuine, true friend who would not think twice about lending a helping hand to anyone in need. His supportive, positive outlook and witty sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his fiancé Kelly Ortiz; 1 son Palmer Dahl; 1 daughter Tessa Bloomstrom; Kelly’s children Corbin Hargett and Ashtyn Nunnery; his step-mother, Robyn Dahl; his brothers Wesley Dahl and Sam (Abigaile Holcomb) Dahl; 1 niece Maggie Dahl; 2 nephews Cooper Dahl and Oliver Holcomb; his AA family; and extensive motorcycle riding family.
