Marlene Ann Bordeaux's Obituary
Marlene Ann Bordeaux, age 86, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024. She was born March 19, 1938 in Muskegon to Charles and Alice Ferrier. On January 8, 1955, she married Richard Allen Bordeaux in Muskegon. Marlene worked as a bus driver for Muskegon Catholic Central. Marlene was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Baldwin, MI. She was a member of the St. Anne’s Alter society and also worked with St. Anne’s food pantry. She was the secretary of Bitely Township Women’s Club and was active in the Bitely Car Shows, Bitely Garden Club and loved to play Yahtzee 2 days per week. Survivors include her loving husband, Richard A. Bordeaux Sr.; 6 children, Richard A. “Rick” (Rhonda) Bordeaux Jr., Jean Bordeaux, Brenda Kordecki, Sharon (Brad) Hoffman, Sue (Kevin) Lloyd, Rodney Bordeaux; 11 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter; 1 brother, Fran Ferrier; and 1 sister, Marian Culligan. She was preceded in death by her parents; 5 brothers, Dick Ferrier, LaVern Ferrier, Ed Ferrier, Ray Ferrier, Charles Ferrier; and 4 sisters, Mary Alice Benham, Dorothy Barney, Jean Sprague, and Margie Doyle. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1110 Dykstra Road, North Muskegon, MI 49445, with the Rev. Fr. Godfrey Onyekwere presiding. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass on Saturday at the church. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be directed to the Christian Care Nursing Center, 2053 S. Sheridan Drive, Muskegon, MI 49442.
