Marlene R. Kozler's Obituary
Marlene R. Kozler, age 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2020 at the Poppen Residence. Born in Howell, Michigan on December 29, 1942, she was raised by her parents, Jelte and Edith (Rudstrum) Trapp in Muskegon, graduating from Western Michigan Christian High School in 1960. On August 30, 1968, she married John G. Kozler. He survives her along with four children, Brenda Trygier (Todd), Ruth Smith, Mike Line and John P. Kozler (Elizabeth); 8 grandchildren, Alessandra, Mitchell, Christopher, Todd, Derrek, Haley, Karly, Cody; two brothers, Ronnie Bidelman (Geraldine) and Sonny Harmon. Marlene worked as a hostess at Russ’ Restaurants for many years and as an interior decorator at Sears for 12 years where she retired in 1998. She enjoyed dining out with family, especially grandchildren, bargain shopping and decorating her home. A Memorial Service will take place at a later date due to the restrictions of the COVID-19 virus. Memorials can be directed to Harbor Hospice Foundation.
