Due to my surgery I just found out last week that Marlene had passed away back in January. I would like to send my condolences to all the family members. I knew Marlene from bible study and other various courses we took together at Prince of Peace. It was a pleasure to talk and laugh with her. I know that humor wasn't the only side of her because I witnessed a steady deepening of her faith as we learned so many wonderful things in classes together. I will miss her so much and I'm sorry I didn't get to make it to her funeral. I heard from someone at church that she wanted prayers instead of flowers, so I will be saying a Mercy Chaplet for her.

Dear family of Marlene,

The Our Father prayer has been prayed for Marlene many times during our retreats with her God's Embrace family and after she passed to go to OUR TRIUNE GOD.
I recall Marlene being spiritually blessed and so very loving and kind during our meetings and conversations at God's Embrace Retreats. She was willing to share her faith and ask questions enlightening many of the God's Embrace family, including me.

Triune God be Marlene's all; be our all. Amen

Although I didn't know Marlene long or well I enjoyed the time we spent together. Greg and I sat next to her at Westshore Symphony for a couple years. And our conversations always turned to gardening. We shared lunch a couple of times,once at her home and I was able to see her back yard. My heart shares your sadness with her passing.

Marlene was such a good friend to me. She shared her joy of the Lord and her kindness and compassion with all those around her. I loved her spunk, her sense of humor, and her toughness. She put up with a lot and I never heard her complain. She loved people of all ages, but she especially liked to interact with children.
