Marlene Joyce "Molly" Nelson's Obituary
Mrs. Marlene Joyce “Molly” Nelson, age 85, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026 in Muskegon, Michigan. Molly was born in Muskegon on December 5, 1940 to DeOwn and Bertha (Ilsink) Morin. She was employed by Russ Restaurant for many years and loved her work, baking pies well into her 70’s. Molly enjoyed trips to the casino and thrift store shopping. She was a longtime member of First Christian Church of Muskegon. In her later years, Molly was deeply appreciative of the visits, care, and meals lovingly provided by her nephew and niece, Ron and Sonja Mayo. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Thomas Nelson as well as her parents and sister, Judith Fields. She is survived by her brother, Ronald Morin; sister, Lola Alexander; and several nieces and nephews. A CELEBRATION OF HER LIFE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 18, 2026 at First Christian Church, 2755 Holton Road, Muskegon, MI 49445.
