Mrs. Marlene M. Wolffis' Obituary
Mrs. Marlene M. Wolffis, age 85, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on May 15, 2024. She was born on July 15, 1938, to Alvin and Verlyn (Borgman) Ulmer in Muskegon and was a lifelong resident. Marlene graduated from Muskegon High School and was employed by Sears as a supervisor. She was a member at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church for many years. On September 14, 1957, she married Gordon Wolffis and together they had 3 children. They spent 62 happy years together. Gordon preceded her in death on April 2, 2020.
Marlene is survived by her two children, Randy (Kris) Wolffis and Laurie ( Dave) Danklefsen ; 9 grandchildren; Dan (Crystal), Tim (Kaylee), Stephanie (JJ), Jennifer ( Jake), Heather (Chad), Jill, Justin (Anna), Mike and Sarah (Derrick) & 15 great grandchildren; Avarie, Jaxxon, Nolyn, Cason, Torin, Brystal, Raelyn, Makynlee, Caleb, Brooklyn, Lily, Lynnsey, Haleigh, Ashlyn, Aubrey and one on the way; 1 sister- in- law Lynde Wolffis; and 5 nephews and 1 niece.
She was preceded in death by her son Michael Wolffis; daughter-in-law Debbie Wolffis; her parents; her in- laws Louis and Margaret Wolffis; sister and brother-in-law Gloria and Glen Howard; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Shirley and Paul Schultz; brother -in-law Dale Wolffis; and 1 nephew.
Marlene loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Her life was made better by all her friends and neighbors at Pine Grove Manor.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Marlene will be held Thursday May 23,2024 at 2:00 pm at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442. VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to service. LUNCHEON will follow at Egelcraft Mobile Home Park Clubhouse, 2129 Arrowhead Drive, Muskegon, MI 49442. In lieu of flowers to the family please consider making a MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTION to Trinity Health At Home Hospice Grand Haven MI where she received such great care and support.
