Mrs. Marneit L. Allen's Obituary
Mrs. Marneit L. Allen, age 95, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017. She was born on July 23, 1921 to Edward and Alice (Beauvais) Herbstreith in Jackson, MI. Marneit met and married Gerald Allen in Muskegon on February 17, 1945 and he preceded her in death in 2009. She enjoyed crafting, birdwatching and collecting ceramic animals. Marneit was also a member of St. James Catholic Church in Montague. Marneit is survived by her sons, Dale (Marsha) Allen and Daniel Allen; daughters, Judith Allen and Lynne Allen; grandson, Devan (Nissa) Allen; and great-granddaughter, Alexa Allen. Along with her husband, Gerald, Marneit is preceded in death by her mother and father, and brother, Dean Herbstreith. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
