Martha R. Beckwith's Obituary
Martha Rose Beckwith, age 47, loving mother, daughter, and sister, passed away unexpectedly as the result of an automobile accident along with her daughter, Jayla Beckwith, age 12, Tuesday morning November 8, 2022. She was born February 14, 1975 in Muskegon to Dennis and Sharon (Grabe) Gentz. Martha was a graduate of Ravenna High School in 1994. She loved to fish and spoil her daughter, Jayla. Martha and Jayla were inseparable. Jayla was her heart and soul. Martha will be greatly missed by her step-daughter, Betty Drake of Muskegon; father, Dennis Gentz of Ravenna; sisters: Karen (Mitchell) Taylor of Ravenna and Brenda (Michael) Kalmbach of Minnesota; niece, Lily Kalmbach; nephews: Alexander and Nathaniel Kalmbach; special uncle, Harry Grabe, and special aunt, Joann Grabe. Martha was also preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Gentz; Jayla’s father, Jay M. Beckwith; and a special uncle, Arnie Grabe. A MEMORIAL LUNCHEON for Martha and Jayla will be held 3:00 PM Monday, November 14, 2022 at the Moorland Township Hall (12416 Apple Ave., Ravenna, MI 49451). They be laid to rest in Ravenna Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Martha and Jayla Memorial Fund will be appreciated.
