Martha "Martie" Marine's Obituary
Martha “Martie” Moore Marine, age 77, passed away in Muskegon on Thursday, September 30, 2021. She was born in Lafayette, Indiana, on January 3, 1944, to Doxie and Jane (Shearer) Moore. On January 28, 1977, she married Clyde Marine, who preceded her in death in February of 2007, in Muskegon, where she resided for the rest of her life. Martie enjoyed playing cards and cribbage with her family, playing slots at the casino, and watching sports. She also loved to travel throughout Northern Michigan. Martie will be lovingly remembered by her friends and family. She is survived by her three children: Kelli Cody, Kristi Cody, and Jim (Shawn) Cody; five grandchildren: JJay Cody, Jordyn Cody, Kyle Hickmann, Hannah Hickmann, and Julia Hickmann; brother, Dr. W. David Moore; nephew, David (Chelsi) Moore; niece, Jennifer (Mike) Plivelich; and special family friend, Tim Fitzsimmons. Martie was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Moore. Per her request, no service will be taking place for Martie. In lieu of flowers, donations in Martie’s memory can be made out to the Great Lakes Shipwreck Society in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, the Wounded Warrior Project, or Pound Buddies in Muskegon. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 E.
