Martha A. Rop's Obituary
Mrs. Martha A. Rop, age 80, went to be with her Lord Thursday evening, November 23, 2006. She was born January 11, 1926 to William and Agnes (Vos) Wilkins in Fulton, Illinois, and moved to the Muskegon area when she was 20 years old. Martha was a member of Allen Avenue Christian Reformed Church, and she belonged to the Mary Martha Society of the church. She also had been active with the Muskegon Christian School PTA, and loved to golf. She married Gerald Rop on October 20, 1948 in Muskegon, and he preceded her in death on April 21, 1999. SURVIVORS include 5 children, Stanley (Peggy) Rop of Muskegon, Steven (Nancy) Rop of Muskegon, Keith (Sandy) Rop of Muskegon, Barbara (Charles) Becker of Grand Haven, David Rop of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Bruce Allen Rop in 1950; 1 sister, Jeannette Schauer; and 1 brother, Marvin Wilkins. SERIVCES will be 1:00 PM Monday at the Allen Avenue Christian Reformed Church, with Reverend Robert Bierenga officiating. Burial will take place at Laketon Township Cemetery. VISITATION at
