Martha Ann Lake's Obituary
Mrs. Martha Ann Lake, age 84, died peacefully, surrounded by family, Tuesday morning, April 24, 2007, at her home. Martha was born May 21, 1922 in Muskegon, to Albert and Anna (Rycek) Sowa. She was a life long Muskegon resident, growing up in Lakeside, and loving Lake Michigan. She married Alvin Lake in 1966 and he preceded her in death in 1995. A mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Martha’s biggest love was her family. She was a devout catholic and a baptized member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. She is SURVIVED by her daughter, Carol Ann DeWitt of Muskegon; her son, James LeBoeuf of Cincinnati, OH.; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Helen Kielbus, Louise (Otto) Lenar and Stella Wood, all of Muskegon; a brother, Jack Sowa of Muskegon; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jacqueline Baranec; and several brothers and sisters. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 11AM Friday, April 27, 2007 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (1716 Sixth St.) with Rev. Fr. Kenneth Schichtel presiding. VISITATION will be held Thursday from 5-8 PM at
