I didn't kn ow Marten but I knew his Mother Karen she is a good friend of mine. Karen I am so sorry for your loss, and if you ever want to just talk to someone I am here for you anytime. You have been there for me when I needed someone to just talk to or to just yell at the top of my lungs. you never told me I could not do that, but you always were there for me and I will always think of you as my friend, thank you Karen. I am so sorry for your loss... ArleneMaxfield.
Regardless of the score Martin just enjoyed the comradery and was most respectful of the golf course, fixing other people's divots and sometimes even his. He was also a very supportive friend to me as a lions fan, gifted me some Lions logo golf balls and surprised me with a lions tumbler. RIP Martin Howard! Love you man.
In elementary school, Ashley and I lived basically a street away. One of my favorite things was going to her house where her dad would pay me in pickles to do some dishes. He always had a way to make me laugh and was one of the few parents of friends that I enjoyed being around almost as much as the friend.
There are too many memories to write them all but 2 that always come to the top of my head are “PHOEBERS!…..feeling like p.diddy” and “chip dip”.
Martin was like an uncle to my siblings and I, my brother is even named after him. There truly isn’t another person on earth like him.
He will be missed by so many.
Martin was an amazing guy. We had so many chats about everything and nothing. From music and tattoos, to updates on E or where he had been kayaking last.
We were coworkers, we were friends. One of the sweetest times in the 30 years of knowing him was sitting on Viola’s porch swing and sharing a beer. I will miss him deeply.
